So far, the only shaving cream and soaps, I used are of a box (Barbasol, Gillette, etc) and a little glycerine soap regular store. It is much more enjoyable with a very subtle scent that is masculine. It gives a great finesse and a nice lather when used with a quality shaving brush (I bought the Tweezerman, which has also been very good). As supervisors have been published earlier, there is the smell of wet dog / animal (badger I guess in this case) with the brush again, but seems to vanish. I tried another brand of shaving soap that was natural to use, when I heard it was abandoned, and how the high price of soap, I decided to look elsewhere. The only thing I really wanted in a shaving soap, is that “Bay Rum” fragrance. I fell on the conk Col. The price is right, the ingredients are great, has the smell of the right (you can even offered this soap perfumes). I bought it. At first it reminded me a lot of soap “on a rope that my brother has all the x-mas only by the size and shape, but it was. Time to shave! It lathers and feels much like that in my face, clean and smells strong wonderful (not!) I really like this shaving soap, I recommend a badger, wild boar, but will work in a pinch, take advantage of this soap. The first time I bought a bar, now I can buy 3 packs and share them. I colonel conk soaps for the past nine months. There are better soaps out there, but cost more than sufficient. I think the soap colonel conk “utility” that is affordable and does the job well for purposes of shaving every day. The soaps lose their scent in a week or two, but do not expect too much for the price. I do not know better choices in this price range. Rating: 4 / 5
I have become completely “old school” shaving soap. Nor will I use shaving cream box provided. I even decided not to use Kiss My Face shaving cream pump forever. Not only is it emotionally relaxing to have a few moments to beat a good head shaving foam, you actually receive this product is unmatched. Rating: 5 / 5
